un⋅gra⋅cious [uhn-grey-shuhs]
-adjective
1. discourteous; ill-mannered: ungracious behavior.
2. unpleasant; disagreeable; unrewarding: an ungracious task.
3. ungraceful; unpleasing.
This is a pretty big word for a (just) 4 year old. And to my mine and my mom’s amazement, used in the correct context:
“Mom, can I go upstairs?”
“Sure, go.”
This is when my mom attempts to have a conversation with me, not the grandchild hanging off her leg like it’s a lifeline. This is all great for me, since I’m NOT the one try to shake her off like I usually am.
“Grandma, I’m TALKING to you! You are so UNGRACIOUS!”
Where does she get these words? Words that I don’t even use. I can’t remember when I have ever referenced this word in my life. It’s just one of those really “prim” and “proper” ways to say how thankless you are. I could say other things here, but I’m not in the mood to rip off obscenities in this forum. Ungracious. Go figure.
